Tracey, Jacob and Isabelle

Before having children, a line full of cloth nappies blowing in the wind was a story my mother told me, at which I smiled and thought, how old fashioned. How things change. At the first sign of good weather and a breeze, I am up bright and early to get the nappies in the machine and out on the line. There's nothing old fashioned about my nappy collection- there are old fashioned terry squares mixed with modern shaped nappies, both traditional white and modern coloured/patterned fabrics blowing on the line. I have found cloth nappies easy to use and care for. A bonus from using them is that I have made many new friends and it is always a good conversation starter when there are a group of mums/dads around!

Top Tips

  • If you live in a hard water area, put a tablespoon of white vinegar in the rinse cycle, it softens the nappies nicely
  • If you like something a bit different, have a look at nappies from Work at Home Mums, they are always beautifully made and eye catching
